Interview Tips

The Case Presentation

Our case presentation differs significantly from the typical case interview. Either before or upon arriving to our office, you will be presented with a case that describes in-depth the situation faced by a major corporation. With this information provided, you will be expected to:

  1. Understand the key issues affecting the company in the case
  2. Evaluate the company’s key financial measures
  3. Draw conclusions based on the analysis of the information
  4. Present the information in a concise, engaging manner, using PowerPoint
  5. Be prepared to answer questions based on your analysis

MBAs and Advanced Degree Candidates will be asked to prepare their presentation on-site within an allotted time frame.

Undergraduates will receive the case in advance of the interview.

This presentation allows a candidate to demonstrate three qualities that are critical to success at BTS:

Thought Process. Do you demonstrate logical reasoning? Can you think on your feet?

Presentation Skills and Personality. Do you have base-line presentation ability? Are you calm, cool, and collected under pressure? Do you show enthusiasm? Do you communicate your thoughts clearly and concisely to an audience?

Financial/Business Acumen. For MBA applicants, do you demonstrate strong business and financial knowledge? For undergraduate applicants, do you demonstrate an ability to learn and understand financial/business concepts?

Or

Leadership/Project Management/Sales. For MBA and Advanced Degree Applicants, do you demonstrate strong subject matter expertise?
